“Oberste Etage” is a short film project by the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, directed by Victor Martini (2023/24). The film was created as part of a student project, for which I handled the musical composition and helped enhance the mood and dramaturgy of the key scene.

Dinner Table Conversation
“Übergangsmensch” is a short film from the University of Mainz, directed by Lena Merz, exploring friendship, personal change, and growing up. In this scene, the first discord between the long-time friends becomes apparent, and the music supports the portrayal of subtle tensions and emotions.

Space Scene
In the following scene, the tension escalates: the protagonist is frustrated with her friends’ behavior and returns home alone. There, she experiences her anger and sadness intensely and needs time for herself to gain perspective. The music supports this emotional development by highlighting her inner turmoil and desire for withdrawal.

Key scene at the end
The third scene forms the emotional climax of the film: the two best friends openly discuss their conflicts and misunderstandings. This moment of reconciliation leads to a renewed understanding of each other. The music supports the scene by carrying the emotional resolution and highlighting the regained closeness between the friends.
